Pictured above are three O.E.M GM turbo 400 cases. The first one is a standard 8 bolt case and is permitted to be used with our Quick-Stage Kit. The second picture is an 6 bolt case from the factory with the added material to allow installation of our Quick-Stage Kit. The last picture is a 6 bolt case which does not have the appropriate material in areas needed to install our kits.
PLEASE SEE IMAGES TO VERIFY YOUR CASE WILL ACCEPT OUR KIT (GREEN MEANS YES, RED MEANS NO, YELLOW MEANS WITH MODIFICATION)
Pictured above are two extremely high quality aftermarket Turbo 400 cases, the Reid SH400 case will work, however ATI does not machine their cases deep enough in critical areas required for out kits. Denial Racing will never instruct you to modify an expensive case. We do not want to void your warranty. We will not provide instructions for these modifications. Proceed at your own risk.

Most aftermarket Turbo 400 cases will accept our Quick-Stage kit. Check with the provided images to verify before you make a purchase. Both Jegs and Summit part numbers will accept our kits.

The most common Pump and Stator for the Turbo 400 is the 896/895, these together require our Pump Reprogramming Plate for the Quick-Stage kit to function. Modifications to the 895 pump must be made and can be done with the supplied Groove Fixture and Collet Assembly provided in the kit.
If you have a 073 stator and a 068 pump then NO PLATE is required.
If you have a 073 stator and a 121* pump then NO PLATE is required.
If you have a 121* pump you will need to utilize the fixture plate to expand the converter feed groove.
We certainly recommend having a qualified transmission specialist perform alterations to your transmission. However we made the kit very user friendly for the racer on a budget.
We must inform every customer and user of our products, installing one of our kits is permanently altering your property. If not done correctly there is the risk of damaging components and the risk of potential injury during operation. Denial Racing can not be held liable if our instructions were not followed. These modifications are meant for off-road vehicles only and are not to be operated on public road ways and easements. Consult your transmission expert prior to purchasing our Quick-Stage Kit.
Thank you
If you can not find a O.E.M pump assembly or have an aftermarket pump assembly already, companies like Coan Racing offer this pump housing that has a similar converter feed path we utilize based off of the O.E.M 068 pump. Some modifications may need to be done. We have not tested this pump as of yet. SKU: COA-22823C-AL. Coan Racing does offer a complete pump assembly, we recommend contacting your preferred aftermarket manufacturer for clarification.
When it comes to the Stator side of the pump there are so many variations in the market to be able to say any one of them will work. From what I have seen, most aftermarket billet stator housings are designed to "fix" or "make better" some of the fluid passages, specifically sending direct fluid to the return side "from cooler", bypassing the cooling circuit. This method is perfectly ok as long as its done with pump charge feed and not converter exhaust feed. The best pair of O.E.M pump and stator combination is,
GM PN: 8624068 (pump) & 8623073 (stator)
These two combined require just one hole in the stator and you're ready to use them. The "rub", there are not that many out there.
However if you have any one of these part numbers it will be easier for installation of our kits. If you have the common 895/896 pump assembly, then by purchasing our Reprogramming Plate will work just as well after some modification of the converter feed groove. Instructions and fixture are supplied in the kit with your purchase of our Quick-Stage Kit.
